Incorporated:    2004

Contacts:    Audra Stinchcomb, Ph.D., Founder and Chief Scientific Officer

Description:    MetaCyte vice president Melissa Quisenberry served as the first acting president and CEO of AllTranz in partnership with founder and Chief Scientific Officer Dr. Audra Stinchcomb, a researcher at the University of Kentucky. Currently, Teresa Leezer provides strategic business advice to the company. AllTranz Inc. develops prodrug strategies that work with a range of dermal products to increase absorption through the skin.

The company's expertise in formulation, prodrug development, and innovative dermal delivery products exploit the opportunity for lower risk development pathways to significant new drugs. These new products demonstrate improved drug efficacy, patient compliance and reduced side effects.

AllTranz will focus its initial commercialization efforts on the transdermal delivery of innovative products for pain. In 2007, AllTranz raised $1.76M in Series A financing of preferred stock for completion of pre-clinical phase of the lead product. Currently, AllTranz is completing its IND enabling phase and preparing for a Series A1 funding of $1-1.5M in 3Q09.

AllTranz plans to gain market share in the $40 billion pain management market with the development of prodrug strategies that work with transdermal delivery products to reduce side effects while improving drug efficacy and patient compliance.
